OutGoing Email Problems?

If you're having problems SENDING email as coming from your site name (e.g., it is most likely because of your ISP blocking you.

Most ISP's require that you authenticate yourself as a registered user of their network BEFORE they will let you send email through them.

In your email program, take a look at your account settings, make sure your SMTP OutGoing Mail server is set to your ISP and then look for a section that will let you enter in your ISP username and password (NOT YOUR HOSTING LOGIN).

Once you've set that up, your ISP will know that you're legit and will let you send email.

Why do ISP's do this?
They do this to prevent unauthorized people from abusing their servers and guessed it....SPAM.
