Updating your website via FTP
FTP is quickest way to change files on your website.
There are lots of FTP programs out there, but the "free" ones we recommend are:
- Filezilla (http://filezilla-project.org/) and Core FTP (http://www.coreftp.com/) for Window users
- Cyberduck (http://cyberduck.ch/) for you MAC people.
Step 1: If you haven't installed an FTP program, download and install a free one of your choice from above.
Step 2: in cPanel, go into "FTP Accounts", and click on "Configure FTP Client" beside the FTP account you want to use, which will download the FTP configuration or SFTP configuration and save it on your desktop.
Step 3: Double-click on the download file.
Step 4: The FTP will open along with the download file and shall log you into your FTP account.
Usually one window is your computer, and the other window is the server where your website resides (remember to navigate to your public_html directory)
Once you're into FTP, all you need to do is find the files you want to move and drag/drop them where you need them.
